Rancho Bernardo is a master planned community which was established in 1961 and developed later by AVCO Community Developers who developed the land, making Rancho Bernardo one of San Diego’s best places to live. Rancho Bernardo residents enjoy a town plaza which has many small businesses, grocery stores, real estate, financial institutions, high tech and entrepreneurial business as well as major corporations including Sony Electronics, Hewlett-Packard, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, NCR Corporation, SAIC, and Eastman Kodak Co. which operate in one of the largest business parks in San Diego.

EDUCATION
Rancho Bernardo schools are part of the prestigious Poway Unified School District (PUSD) which has long been regarded as one of the finest school districts in the country. More and more real estate buyers are attracted to this area due to the Poway School District. PUSD has received a National Exemplary Compensatory Award and four State Exemplary compensatory Awards and boasts at least 15 Blue Ribbon Schools and 24 California Distinguished Schools.
